SJRF kicked off a travel flag football team for the 2024-2025 season and we plan to grow our travel program in 2026!

Note: If your athlete was born in 2013 and is currently playing middle school football, please plan to attend the tryout for 7th grade to high school athletes instead.

Who are we looking for?
- This is a competitive travel team. We are looking for individuals who possess the athletic skills and drive, and will give us the opportunity to compete with the best teams in the Midwest region.
- Equally important is the fact that our players and families will be representing St. Joseph Rocket & Flag Football. Leadership and sportsmanship are a must to be a part of this team.
- Commitment. We need players that are able to commit to practices and tournaments.
Where do we play?
Practice location and cadence will be determined as we get closer to the 2026 season. Tournament schedule will most likely be announced in February, but plan to travel to Wisconsin, Ohio and locations throughout Michigan. Travel costs, including hotels, are not included in the registration fee and will be the responsibility of the family.
What is the Cost?
It takes approximately $700 per player to cover the cost of 5 tournament entry fees, indoor facility rental and jerseys. Our goal is to be able to fundraise to lower the registration cost for each player. We intend to keep the registration fee under $500.
In addition to registration, you can expect the following fees:
-Zorts player card: $10
-AAU Membership: $20
-Travel expenses for each tournament. We will have several out of state tournaments that will require a hotel stay but we will continue to look for more opportunities close to home.
My Player is Interested - Now What?
Tryouts will be Wednesday, October 22nd at 5pm. Tryouts are open to athletes born between 2009 & 2018. Final teams will be formed in age groups where we have commitment from both players and coaches.
